I was born in Upstate NY and has lived in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Maryland before moving to North Carolina in 2006 for a corporate relocation.
I am blessed that my wife Kristie picked me. Together, we wrestle with raising our two girls and son. Emma is a rising 9th grader, Leah is a rising 6th grader and William is entering 3rd grade.
I am a teacher at heart but went into business because our teachers are not well paid. My philosophy is always to teach first no matter what role I have. My corporate career was built on turning around broken businesses. I have an MBA, five different insurance licenses, two investment licenses, and a real estate license. Combining this knowledge with my life experiences gives me the ability to make connections that most people do not see.
I serve as a church elder at Crossroads Fellowship on Keith’s Store Road, in addition to serving on two non-profit boards. I’m very active in the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce and serve as a Chamber Ambassador.
I enjoy coaching my son’s baseball team and attend all of my kid’s karate sessions. The beach, lake and basically anything involving water and water activities are my favorite.
At The Thompson Agency, we have two focus areas: first, many of our clients have complex needs, we lean into that challenge often partnering with a client's lawyer, CPA, and investments advisors to provide the critical protection elements they need; second, we start with a risk assessment including educating and consulting our clients on what their exposure is currently. We also strive to connect people and businesses in our community. We desire to be part of the fabric that binds our community together. We love living and working here. The Thompson Agency is different! Find out for yourself...Join the Movement!
